HIMBA PEOPLE
Settled in north-western Namibia, HIMBAS, an indigenous tribe, respect and live according to the traditions of their ancestors.
The most interesting fact is that only women apply on their skin The red ochre cream -made by pounding the ochre stone (Hematite) into small pieces, mixed with butter and slightly heated on the smoke-. The red ochre layer seems to help against the scorching sun radiation, while keeping the skin clean and moist and to some extent it blocks hair growth on the body.
SAN PEOPLE
The SAN or SAAN PEOPLE is an indigenous hunter-gatherer tribe settled in northern Namibia and western Botswana. They are considered the First People in Africa. This means the San are descendants of the first human beings who ever lived in this continent, more than 30.000 years ago.
